The leitmotif of the second issue was the topic of employment of models after modeling, as after the end of their career (or even while working), models have mastered professions related to fashion: designer, photographer, fashion journalist. Among my “retired” friends there are also makeup artists, stylists, illustrators, agents, scouts, teachers in modeling disciplines… Now, however, many people say that the times of the pandemic have significantly reduced the fashion professions – among the closed borders and lockdown, it has become especially difficult for creative people to survive.
Hence our second topic — we will discuss the current situation at the round table in the MAC section. Anyway, closed borders are not a reason to be sad, for many it is an opportunity to stop, think, start something new, take some courses, change direction.
Among the open model countries — South Korea – the Country of morning freshness. From my memories of Korean modeling: you need to be ready for a flexible schedule, smile a lot, be as cute as possible. Koreans are less emotional than the Chinese and more sociable than the Japanese. Seoul residents are always interested in where you come from and can easily treat you to a jar of traditional drink with the taste of rice and cane sugar. And what is the model situation in this country now, we will ask Tati Tarova, who once again there and even learned Korean.
Among the benefits are also tips on passing castings from international model Natalia Tsygankova, who has worked in three leading model markets in the world — Asia, Europe and America. And a story about a modeling career from Adelia Babicheva, who, by the way, is now successfully working in America.
