The programme “Fashion-tips” on the TV channel World Fashion Channel, produced by model Alina Kolomoytseva (@lina_kolomoytseva) is attended by famous designers, stylists and make-up artists. They convey how they achieved success, share tips and reflect on fashion. It was our turn to ask Alina questions.
Tell us about your experience in modelling. Did you manage to implement all of your plans?
I started in a modelling agency in Tyumen and later moved to Moscow. I did not work abroad. However, in 2018 I was a finalist in the National “Miss Russia” Contest. This was something I had dreamed of since my childhood. Even though I didn’t win, it was a worthwhile experience. After this project I decided to leave modelling and work in my specialty. I graduated from the Faculty of Journalism at RUDN and afterwards I was working for the World Fashion Channel.
Who was your most memorable interview on the TV channel?
I was very fortunate and very proud to be the first to record a big interview with Klava Coca. Furthermore, if you are interested in fashion and what is happening with it currently, I think you will really enjoy my interviews with Lina Dembikova, Igor Chapurin and Vlad Lisovets.
Who would you like to work with?
I would really like to work on a movie. Maybe with Christopher Nolan, Luc Besson and other famous Hollywood directors. It is good to dream!
The most valuable advice in life? Who gave it to you?
Do not expect anything from anyone, but act yourself! This is my motto in life. If you want to enter a beauty contest work on yourself and then apply. If you want to become a presenter on the most fashionable TV channel then study to be a journalist and go to castings. Not only dream, but also act. This approach to life was ingrained in me by my parents.
What can you learn from modern fashion?
I really like that designers are now inspired by modern realities and erase the frames. Now it is fashionable to be yourself without pretense. A person’s personality comes first. Fashion is aimed at convenience.
