What is modeling for you?
First of all, work: responsible and demanding, which develops into life. It’s a tough industry that doesn’t tolerate the weak. It tests your strength at every opportunity. And if you treat her “just for fun”, then do not expect that she will be kind to you. You can take off fast, but you can fall even faster.
What has surprised you in the fashion world recently?
Now the fashion industry is under a lot of pressure from the public about the standards of beauty. Body positivity, tolerance and acceptance of ourselves as we are-this is good, but in moderation, I think.
The most memorable show / shoot?
I’ve been in modeling for more than ten years. She worked in agencies in Japan, Korea, China, Taiwan, Italy, and the United States. There were shots on the islands, in the mountains, with animals, in unusual images, with stars and much more, but probably the most memorable shooting was in Korea. I was approved for a job in advertising perfume of a fashion house. The shoot was in a wedding dress under water. Before I started, the diving instructor taught me to hold my breath and use gestures to tell him about my condition underwater. At one point, I lost my bearings when, at a depth of eight meters, my feet got tangled in the train of my dress and I went to the bottom. Fortunately, the instructor reacted quickly, and everything ended well.
What annoys you about models?
Inability to control their emotions and disrespect for the work of others. When you go to a shoot, you should understand that at least 15-20 people work with you, and everyone has their own problems, experiences and emotions. And in order for the process to go well, you need to be able to control yourself, and not be capricious about small things.
Who or where would you like to work with?
I don’t have any designers or photographers that I dreamed of working with in my dreams, because for me, every person I work with is important, and I appreciate their work. But I still have one dream — to see a billboard with my photo in the center of New York in Times Square.
Why are you grateful to modeling?
For the opportunity to be involved in the creation of something more, for the opportunity to speak without words. For how many amazing people and impressions he gave me. And for how much he showed me. If I were asked to go back and make a choice about which path to take, I would no doubt choose the same one.
